Reminder: NJSIPT Spring Meeting and Continuing Education

This is a reminder that registration for “FUNctional Finance for Physical Therapy” closes on Wednesday, March 3, 2010. This course has been submitted to the NJBPTE for approval for 4 CEU’s.

Please don’t miss an opportunity to attend this course!  The speaker, Charles Felder, PT, SCS, MBA, has 33 years of experience in physical therapy including 20 years as a practice owner.  He specializes in assisting health care practice owners in managing the business aspects of their practices.

If you are having difficulty in this current economic environment, it is imperative that you attend this course and see if there are tools that you are not utilizing that may be available to you.  If you are not struggling, them maybe you can be doing even better, and if you are new to owning a business or want to own one, you should attend so that you can learn ways how to improve your financial status.

In addition, we will be discussing the Society’s strategic plan for the upcoming year. If you are a member, we urge you to attend our business meeting so that you can hear what the Society is and will be doing for you. You will have an opportunity to ask questions and hear answers to other members’ questions.  Our legislative agents, our PAR, and our legal counsel will all be present to speak about what is happening in the legislative, legal and regulatory arenas that may affect your business practice.

We will hold an open forum for all attendees after lunch.  We did this at our last conference and it was well received.  This will be held in the style of a Town Hall Meeting where we will entertain everyone’s questions.  This is a unique opportunity for anyone who is not a member to learn about the Society and to hear about issues that may be impacting you or that will impact you.

Registration for the business meeting begins at 8:00 am, and the meeting will begin promptly at 8:30 am.  We will break at 10:30 and the course will begin at 10:45.  If you are not attending the closed business meeting, please arrive between 10:15 and 10:45 to register and sign in for the course.  The conference concludes at 4 pm.  Some members and staff of the NJSIPT Board of Directors will be staying at the bar in Longhorn’s Restaurant, located on the hotel’s premises, to socialize and network with you following.
